Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division to include the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
What You'll Get To Do:
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs hard real-time embedded software containing logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of embedded systems for safety and mission critical software.
Must be able to work and collaborate with a team of software engineers in an Agile environment to meet critical milestones.
Ensures program mandated software standards and compliance criteria are met.
Understands and can develop in a continuous integration tool chain meeting technical and compliance requirements.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline
level 2- 2 years of experience; 0 years with Master's degree
level 3-5 years of experience; 0 years with Master's degree; 0 years with PhD
Experience with C++ and object oriented design
Knowledge of targeting a real time operating system
US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active DoD Secret clearance, granted or re-investigated within last 6 years with ability to obtain Special Program Access
Experience developing software for a hard real time system and rate monotonic scheduling
Experience with developing software for hardware devices
Experience in the implementation of GNC algorithms
Experience developing in an Agile environment
Experience with nuclear surety requirements
Experience developing missile flight systems software
Experience with DO-178C compliance

Salary Range: $73,400 - $135,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
