Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Deputy Manager Engineering 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions for the Infrastructure & Deployment Team. The individual will report to the Deployment and Transition Director.

What You'll Get To Do:

Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems and include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Deployment and Transition Director and acting as the primary delegate for all Deployment leadership activities

• Support the team in developing/conducting program review sessions with customer and/or NG leadership.

• Measuring and reporting program performance through development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM)

• Strong technical leadership through the identification, allocation, tracking, and completion of program requirements

• Develop and manage the cost, schedule and technical performance of complex projects and dynamic priorities across multiple baselines and operational locations.

• Ensuring program team understands and adheres to customer expectations, contract scope and manages change through control board activities.

• Interfacing with teammates to meet program objectives and maintain strong partnership.

• Delivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders.

• Creation and implementation of strategy for growth of team and business.

• Support the preparation and approval of proposals, ROMs, ECPs, specifications, and operating budgets.

• Direct large and small subcontractors and suppliers

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related technical experience, or a Masters Degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of experience.

• Must have 7 years in a formal management/leadership role of team or department.

• Must have 7 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or control account manager.

• 6+ years developing and managing the following: Basis of Estimate (BOE), Statement of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM)

• Ability to attain a DoD SECRET Clearance and obtain Special Program Access.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• DoD Project or program manager experience of a dollar value $15M or greater.

• 10 years of ICBM and deployment experience.

• Active DoD SECRET or Top-Secret Clearance

• Current Special Program Access (PAR)

• Proven ability to deliver effective communication verbally, written, and through well-crafted presentations across all levels of an organization.

Salary Range: $138,400 - $207,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
