Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Information System Project Manager . This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program .

What You'll Get To Do:

Leads and directs one or more Software or DevSecOps agile project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations. Working with Supplier, prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. Ensures supplier completes projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment. Keeps current on advances in the field of IT. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversees and manages the Software and/or DevSecOps technical and verification aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management and supplier.

  • Represents the GBSD program requirements to supplier and support solutions process.

  • Ensures Software projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment through the Agile process.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team, as appropriate.

  • Gain the technical understanding of software applications and their integration and implementation, as appropriate.

  • Working with leadership, develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients, as appropriate.

  • Regularly briefing leadership on project progress.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and best practices for IT related technologies and processes used throughout Northrop Grumman and GBSD.

  • Communicate IT related technology detail in a non-technical manner to program IPT leaders and management.

  • Ability to successfully work on and deliver multiple projects simultaneously either independently or within a small team.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to coordinating and standing up the program.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications:

  • Principal Information System Project Manager: 5 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. 4 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.

  • Sr Principal Information System Project Manager: 9 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. 4 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.

  • Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.

  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

  • Experience with ensuring software projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree in Information Systems or comparable degree is preferred.

  • CompTIA A+ is preferred.

  • Experience with AWS Cloud products is preferred.

  • Experience understanding and gathering technical requirements and executing program objectives for achieving Authorization to Operate (ATO) for site/room standup.

  • Experience with managing technical projects via risk management, software & hardware assurance, and cyber security assurance or background is preferred.

Salary Range: $90,400 - $135,600

Salary Range 2: $112,000 - $168,000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
