Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Test Engineering Manager 3 for the System Test Engineering team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
The System Test Engineering manager will be responsible for architecting and executing a test campaign, focusing primarily on test execution within the System Integration Labs (SIL) environment. The candidate will manage diverse engineering teams responsible for the design and build, instrumentation and automation, and simulation and emulation elements of the SILs.
The position requires technical knowledge of test environments with a focus in laboratory verification and validation activities alongside SIL integration and operations. The candidate must act with speed to resolve issues, be able direct multiple concurrent operations while maintaining stringent test rigor. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate sound metrics management and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues and solutions. A successful track record of program performance, interpersonal team building skills, and cross-functional management experience is highly desired.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Bachelor Degree in any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) related field with 8 years of relevant experience and 3 years of formal managerial experience; 6 years with a Master's; 3 years with a PhD
US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years)
Previous experience working in Integration and Test Environments
Experience in team management, task scheduling and team building
US Citizenship with an Active Top Secret or SCI Clearance (awarded within the past 5 years)
Extensive experience in System Integration Lab integration and hardware/software integration at the system level
Prior experience with Instrumentation, data acquisition and test automation systems
Prior experience leading large cross-functional teams
Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF and SysML
Experience using CAMEO software
Travel for this position is expected up to 10% of the time.
