Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer. This position will be permanently located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here . Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

The GBSD Nuclear Surety Team is looking for a Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer to support Model Based Systems Engineering efforts in various architecture models. This position will be located in Roy, Utah.

What you'll get to do:

  • Support MBSE strategy and implementation over the various Architecture Models

  • Support oversight of the Architecture Model customer deliveries for Nuclear Surety

  • Support oversight of nuclear surety profile implementation and governance in the various architecture models

  • Implement and enforce model governance at all levels of the architecture for Nuclear Surety

  • Coordinate with integrated product teams for establishing Nuclear Surety content within the architecture

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

For Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience

  • Active DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation close date within the past 6 years

  • Minimum 1 year Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

For Principal Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 4 years of related experience

  • Active DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation close date within the past 6 years

  • Minimum 2 year Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS clearance with a background investigation close date within the past 6 years

  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Cameo Enterprise Architect, Sparx Enterprise Architect, CORE, DOORs, Rhapsody, ModelCenter, MagicDraw, SysML or other comparable tools

  • Software background

  • Experience with DoDAF standards and methods

  • Experience with DOORS requirements management

  • Experience with large systems

  • Experience with UML

  • Experience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements (e.g. AFI 63-125, AFMAN 91-118/91-119/31-108, DODM 5210.41, AFI 91-107)
