Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to join the Flight Systems Team. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here .
What You'll Get To Do:
The successful candidate will provide leadership of project's Air Vehicle Engineering (AVE) System Testbed Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) development team in a dynamic high-visibility environment. Will be responsible for staffing, schedule, budget and execution. Includes coordinating, planning and executing activities among multiple subsystem teams across NG GBSD teams and subcontractors from PDR through CDR phase and beyond. Role includes leading team through all aspects of requirements development, testbed design and integration and system performance tests.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Bachelor's in Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 14 years of experience; 12 years with Master's in Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline ; 9 years with PhD
Prior experience leading teams of 5+ members
Demonstrated record of collaboration among multiple subsystem teams
Experience (5 or more years) with system or subsystem test and integration in engineering laboratory environment
Active DoD Secret Clearance granted or updated within last 6 years
Familiarity with aircraft or space guidance, navigation and control systems
Familiarity with unit and system environmental level testing a plus
Familiarity with role of real-time simulators in HWIL usage.
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
