The GBSD program is seeking a Staff Guidance Computer Architecture Lead. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Space System team supporting the Air Force's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program, working as part of the Guidance Computer team. The Guidance Computer (GC) is a high reliability, radiation hardened flight controller for the GBSD Aerospace Vehicle (AVE). The GBSD Guidance Computer contains digital processing, digital I/O, and analog actuator/power I/O electronics functions.
This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What You'll Get To Do:
The Guidance Computer System Architecture Lead oversees the system engineering development, hardware verification, and test design and development of the Guidance Computer in its engineering model and production stages of development. This position reports directly to the Guidance Computer sub-IPT Lead. Direct reports include the GC Responsible System Engineer, the GC Verification Lead, and the GC Test Equipment Lead. Duties include oversight of Guidance Computer equipment specification maintenance, collaboration with other subsystem teams in specification discussions, requirements verification methodology and ledger maintenance, and close coordination with test set development and hardware verification by test.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Experience with requirements management in DOORS and developing equipment specifications and interface control documents (ICDs)
Demonstrated ability to lead a team of junior engineers to outcome a direction consistent with program and technical objectives
Experienced at electronic hardware design and verification development at the Configured Item level
Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) with minimum of 14 years of experience, or Master's in Science in STEM plus 12 years of experience; 9 Years with a PhD.
Active Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain SAP/SAR clearance
Knowledge of MBSE with experience having implemented system architecture definition using UPDM and/or SysML in an MBSE tool such as MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, CORE, etc.
Work experience in one of the following disciplines: high-reliability computer design and related requirements; or guidance & control systems, inertial sensors, navigation systems or vehicle management systems
Experience working in an Agile team or even leading a scrum team
Understanding of vehicle management computer, guidance computer, mission computer, or onboard computer design and verification
Understanding of the following specialty areas: nuclear surety, cybersecurity, flight safety
Top Secret security clearance
