Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer/Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) System Architect.
This position will ultimately be located in Roy, UT as of January 1, 2022. In the interim the position will be performed primarily from El Segundo, CA. Specific arrangements relative to relocation to be determined based on the candidate location.
Responsibilities include establishing HWIL Testbed requirements, defining the Testbed achitecture, defining Electrical and Mechanical Ground Support equipment use cases and hardware and software test tools. HWIL Architect is a high visibility position that requires good technical and communication skills. Also entails collaborating with multiple IPTs across the program.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Bachelors of Science in STEM discipline with 9 years' experience; 7 years with a Masters of Science in STEM discipline; 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be counted in lieu of a Bachelors of Science degree.
Electrical test work experience
Experience writing test plans and procedures
US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years)
Familiarity with aircraft or space guidance, navigation and control systems
Familiarity with unit and system testing
