Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join the Product Support Team to support Transportation Systems Development. This position will be located in Roy, UT and support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here .
What You'll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will possess strong leadership, systems engineering skills, and verification planning and execution experience to lead the verification effort for the GBSD major maintenance vehicles. Systems engineering is involved in all phases of vehicle development starting with requirements, initial concepts, trade studies, early vehicle design influence, design and development, fabrication/procurement, engineering evaluation testing, verification, delivery of hardware, and support of delivered hardware. The candidate will have demonstrated background in systems engineering principles, tools, and applications as well as experience planning and conducting verification activities.
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the major maintenance vehicle test and verification efforts. This includes working directly with the vehicle suppliers and mentoring a team of systems engineers. Frequent inter-organization, outside customer, and vehicle supplier communication is required to ensure success of the effort. Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, including critical thinking and technical problem solving skills.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
• Minimum 9 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline; 7 years with a Master's degree; 4 years with a PhD
• Proficient with DOORS
• Experience with SE requirements analysis, trade studies, design solutions, acquisition, test, and validation
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
• Master's degree in STEM related discipline
• Proficient with Teamcenter
• Proficient with CAMEO
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Prior experience in Aerospace industry
• Prior experience with requirements, design, or manufacturing of large vehicles
