Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Unit Verification Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah with 50% travel to El Segundo for 3 months, and 25% travel afterward. This position will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. What You'll Get to Do:
You will serve as the focal point for requirements verification tasks for the Guidance Computer (GC) flight Unit. The GC is a high reliability, radiation hardened flight controller for the GBSD Aerospace Vehicle (AVE). The GBSD Guidance Computer contains digital processing, digital I/O, and analog actuator/power I/O electronics functions. You will be responsible for development and documentation of the GC requirements verification activity. The scope spans requirements derivation, verification planning, development of required verification environments and setups, and generation and maintenance of verification ledger and evidence. This position reports directly the Guidance Computer Verification Lead.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Experience identifying unit level requirements and associated derivation/flow down of requirements to internal unit subassemblies
Experience developing verification plans, test procedures and verification metrics
Experience conducting various methods of testing and analysis to verify compliance with requirements
Experience designing, implementing, and checking out verification test environments and setups for unit, board, and ASIC level electronic hardware
Experience developing and/or performing verification and/or test plans and procedures
Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation
Experience working cooperatively with professionals representing multiple engineering and non-engineering disciplines
Experience preparing for and participating in design reviews
Bachelor's of Science Degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an accredited university with at least 9 years of relevant experience ;OR a Master's of Science Degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Discipline from an accredited university with 7 years of relevant experience; 4 years with a PhD.
Active Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical, Electrical, or Software design experience
Experience designing and testing to compliance standards such as SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-461
Experience participating in a subcontract management team
Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
Lead roles- Agile experience or certification
Non-Lead roles-Agile Experience or certification
