Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal / Senior Principal Project Manager to join the Command and Launch Team, Communications subsystem IPT. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here .
What You'll Get To Do:
• Support planning and roadmap generation for the Communications Systems sub IPT
• Coordinate and facilitate technical interchange meetings with Comms Systems partners and subcontractors
• Have a technical understanding of the assigned subsystems
• Support management of the Comms Systems technical baseline; technical baseline reviews, change control boards, etc.
• Perform Control Account Manager Duties for assigned Comms subsystems by tracking schedule status, budget spending, and staff planning
• Preparation of metrics and internal progress reports for management
• Development and adherence to Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Principal PM: Bachelors degree and minimum 6 years of experience; 4 years with Master's Degree
Senior Principal PM: Bachelors degree and minimum 10 years of experience; 8 years with Master's Degree
At least 2 years of project management experience
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Bachelors degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline
Experience with various scheduling software (i.e. MS Project)
Earned Value Management (EVM) experience or training
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
