Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a GBSD - Principal or Sr. Principal Cyber / Network Engineer and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Training Systems Team (TST). This position will be located in Roy, UT. Learn more about the GBSD program here

What You'll Get To Do:

Develops and maintains Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) based networks for software development and training systems

  • Maintains software development and DevSecOps environments using Software Defined Networking (SDN)

  • Identifies and applies cybersecurity controls, industry best practices, security control software, and scanning suites

  • Collaborates with Cyber, Systems, and Software Engineers to ensure network requirements are met

  • Performs network analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair

  • Performs system administration of IT assets, user accounts, network architecture

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:

You'll Bring These Qualifications for level 3:

Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written; and ability to read and understand technical requirements documents

Identifying and implementing cybersecurity controls

Understanding of network architecture

Applying critical skills thinking when solving complex problems

Active clearance Secret or above

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline with 5 years of related experience or Masters and 3 years or related experience

Ability to read and understand technical requirements documents

You'll Bring These Qualifications for level 4:

Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written; and ability to read and understand technical requirements documents

Identifying and implementing cybersecurity controls

Understanding of network architecture

Applying critical skills thinking when solving complex problems

Active clearance Secret or above

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline with 9 years of related experience or Masters and 7 years or related experience

Ability to read and understand technical requirements documents

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Experience architecting and developing Network Operations Centers (NOCs) and/or Security Operations Centers (SOCs)

An understanding of "as-a-Services" architecture and protocols

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or similar accreditation; Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) Security, or similar accreditation

Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DevSecOps system

Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining LANs and WANs

Has a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security, or similar accreditation; with knowledge of network security guidelines (i.e. NIST, etc.)

Experience in Training Networks, Training Interfaces, Integrated Training Protocols and Security is a plus

Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining LANs and WANs

Has a current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security, or similar accreditation

Knowledge of network security guidelines (NIST, STIG, ISA, ISO/IEC 27000, etc.)

Has a minimum of 2 years designing networks

Experience in related program and/or networking experience, supporting the successful execution of Department of Defense programs.

Experience with external WAN networks is a plus

Experience with multiple security domain networks is a plus

Active Top Secret Clearance

Ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret clearance
