Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Nuclear Hardness Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What You'll Get To Do:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Develops functional , logical, physical, and deployment architectures to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science Degree OR higher in Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related technical discipline
9 years' experience with a BS Degree, or 7 years' experience with a Master's, or 4 years' experience with a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or closely related technical discipline
Active Secret clearance with investigation in the last 6 years
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with requirements management
Experience with any of the following radiation tools: CEPXS, ITS, MCNP, NOVICE, Testable Hardware Tool-kit (THTk), XTRRA, MEEC++, SIRE2, CRÈME96, PSPICE, etc. is highly preferred
Masters or PhD is preferred.
Knowledge of the physics associated with radiation effects in semiconductor devices is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills of the English language is desired
Active Top Secret clearance is preferred
