Northrop Grumman Space Systems Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Software team is seeking a DevSecOps SW Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.

What You'll Get To Do:

The selected candidate will be working with the latest technology to modernize software production across a major program. They will stand up a large scale software factory used by engineering teams, integrate and automate systems to facilitate continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, and continuous deployment pipelines.In this role, strong communication skills is a must to work with software IPT leads, chief engineers, and the development team

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's Degree.

  • Active DOD security clearance with re-investigation in the last 6 years.

  • Experience with software development (Java/Javascript, C++, C# or any modern object-oriented language) and its life cycle

  • Familiar with build tools (i.e., Maven, Ant) and/or continuous integration environments (i.e., Jenkins, Bamboo)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with virtualization technology, such as VMware products (i.e., Horizon, Codestream, vRealize Automation)

  • Certifications from VMWare and Cisco

  • Strong background in Linux/Unix/Windows administration

  • Experience using the Agile methodology

  • Experience with the full Atlassian tool suite (i.e., Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, Fisheye/Crucible, Crowd)

  • Experience developing builds in Maven, including MAVEN profiles. Ability to automate software builds and releases via Maven & Nexus

  • Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Chef or an equivalent

  • Familiarity with containerization tools (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Knowledge of static analysis tools (i.e., SonarQube, Coverity)
