Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Test Engineer or Principal Test Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah. The selected candidate will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What You'll Get To Do:
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all new SW builds and LRU's, and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
· Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems.
· Meet with the Lab Operations and Systems Engineering Integration team to determine product testing parameters.
· Write product test plans, procedures and create test cases.
· Troubleshoot errors and provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems.
· Ensure all tests and procedures meet the product specifications.
· Prepare test reports for management team.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Active Secret DoD Clearance with a reinvestigation within the last five years.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with 2 years of experience for a Level 2 position, or 0 years with a Masters degree.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with 5 years of experience for a Level 3 position, or 3 years with a Masters and 0 years with a PhD
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
DoD Active Top Secret Clearance
Experience with automated testing.
High-level technical writing skills.
Extensive knowledge of testing procedures.
Experience with verification of Software requirements.
