The GBSD program is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer / Principal Electrical Systems Engineer . The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Space System team supporting the Air Force's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program, working as part of the Re-Entry System team.
This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.
What You'll Get To Do:
Duties will include evaluation of electronic designs, testing, analysis, integration, and team mentorship. Technical expertise, technical communication ability, and general knowledge of related disciplines is required.
The successful applicant will:
Understand and apply system requirements
Assist in all phases of the system lifecycle including requirements application, design, test, fabrication, and implementation
Evaluate electrical hardware performance
Perform model validation through test and analysis
Conduct testing through all phases
Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
Create technical reports and present technical information
Assist in planning and scheduling activities
Interface with AF Customer

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Electrical Systems Engineer: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 2 years of related experience; or 0 years with a Master's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline
Principal Electrical Systems Engineer: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 5 years of related experience, Master's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 3 years of related experience; or 0 years with a PhD
Active Secret Clearance
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
2 or more years of Aerospace experience, preferably with ICBM Weapon Systems
Experience with SPICE
Experience with TeamCenter/NX
Experience with VHDL/FPGA/ASIC design
Experience with Nuclear Certified Design
Experience with Agile
Experience with Cable/Harness Design
Experience with DOORS
