The GBSD program is seeking an Electrical Engineer. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Space System team supporting the Air Force's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program, working as part of the Transportation Equipment team. This candidate will to support the design and development of the GBSD major maintenance vehicles. In this position, you will have ownership of your work from the concept creation through the design, analysis, manufacturing and verification of the vehicles. Architecting highly scalable and highly available systems, complex computing platforms, for use within the GBSD weapon systems.
This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting development of the GBSD major maintenance vehicles with emphasis on the electrical subsystems. The candidate will use technical principles, theories and concepts and apply them to develop recommended solutions to technical problems. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the skill and ability to perform professional tasks in one or more aspects of a product lifecycle, to include coordination between other teammates, supervisors, project leaders and other professionals. Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, including critical thinking and technical problem solving skills.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline and 2 years of relevant work experience; 0 years with a Master of Science degree
Ability to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance
Proficiency with 3D design / 2D drawing CAD utilizing NX or similar software
Experience establishing product requirements and design of electrical equipment
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Active DoD Secret clearance or Top Secret clearance investigated within the past five years
Experience with NX
Experience with Teamcenter
Experience conducting analysis of electrical components, determining effectiveness and creating written recommendations for increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
