Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a GBSD Computer Systems Architect / IETM Software. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Manage the development, operation, and update of Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) Publishing Software (EPS, SDL Live Content, and Common Source Database (CSDB)) for the GBSD Product Support IPT.

  • Implements and maintain smooth operation and physical design of publishing software. Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general.

  • Review software and database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.

  • Maintain security and integrity controls.

  • Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to software and database management, and monitor transaction activity and utilization.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.



You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • A minimum 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 0 Years with a Master's; or 6 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Experience defining and designing system architecture for computer systems

  • Experience defining input/output processes and designing and implementing hardware and software integration

  • Experience using and administering databases

  • U.S. Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret Security clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Ability to provide technical guidance to system administrators and software developers and identify deficiencies and provide solutions

  • Experience in design and implementation of S1000D Common Source Databases (CSDB)

  • Experience developing and administering S1000D functional requirements, business rules and 3rd party hardware/software integration.

  • Experience with IETM viewer software tools

  • Experience with technical writing software tools (XML, SGML, PDF)
