Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Network Communications Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Rosslyn, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's US Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security, and Office of the Chief Technology Officer team. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Research and recommend WAN / LAN/ VPN / Firewall requirements based on industry best practices
Provide management, documentation and operational support for ALL Firewall data access points.
Provide centralize management, documentation and operational support for IP Address schemes managed by the Office of the Chief Technology Officer
Review and approve requirements for WAN/LAN/VPN/Firewall services
Review and approve services and standards for all network services
Perform business liaison function to DS operational units
Recommend network capacity thresholds
Approve network capacity planning thresholds
Provide capacity and performance reports on a quarterly basis
Support Procurement of and provision and maintain all network components and circuits under DS management control
Report performance against service-level requirements
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4. BQs for a Network Communication 3 is a Bachelor's and 5 years' experience. BQs for a Network Communication 4 is a Bachelor's and 9 years' experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Must be a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
IAT Level II baseline certification in accordance with DoD 8140.01 (former 8570) Cyberspace Workforce Management. Those include CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE; and SSCP.
Must have a Top Secret security clearance
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experience with Remedy trouble ticketing system
Experience supporting Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Previous working experience at DoS
ITIL experience or certifications
