As a Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will be exposed to a variety of projects and technologies, with opportunities to provide advanced technical solutions for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Cyber-related national security projects. Your assignments can range from advanced software development to cyber operations development to a graphical user interface design.
As a software engineer with us, you will:
Work with Senior Engineers to help develop the early system concept. Assist with independent research and development
Design, develop, integrate, document, test, demonstrate and debug applications software within an agile development process.
Participate in software analysis activities to include requirements analysis, gap analysis and technical assessments.
Develop advanced C, C++, Java, Python software for research, prototype, and deliverable ISR and cyber systems on Windows and/or Linux, platforms;
Develop new research area recommendations to introduce solutions, products, services and best practices to fit customer needs.
Carry out development tasks as a member of a tightly integrated team.
Design, develop, interact and integrate systems that collect, process and exploit US Air Force, U.S. DoD and allied/coalition data feeds, data bases and intelligence sources to include: imagery, video, electronic/signals intelligence, cyber intelligence and other forms of geographically and temporally registered data

This position requires knowledge of various programming languages in a disciplined software development environment.
Be completing or has completed their degree (Master's or PhD) from an accredited institution.
Be majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related technical field
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Experience or exposure to the following technical areas is also very beneficial:
web applications and/or GUI development,
command and control applications
developing software for multiple operating system environments
Experience designing, developing and integrating systems/software involving one or more of the following technology areas: Service-oriented architectures (SOAs), J2EE Framework,
Enterprise services and integration with enterprise service buses (ESBs) and/or Virtual machines/secure virtualization techniques.
Enterprise computing, cloud computing architectures (public and/or private)
