Northrop Grumman Sr. Principal Contract Administrator in Rolling Meadows, Illinois

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Contracts Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in supporting the Navigation, Targeting, and Surveillance Division. This position is located in Rolling Meadows, IL.

Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 10 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management related function or a Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management related function.

  • Proficiency in SM Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences

  • The willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time

  • Active Secret security clearance is required.

  • US citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge in understanding and interpreting the FAR/DFARs and other U.S. Federal Government contract regulations along with experience in commercial contracting

  • Experience with various types of agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements

  • Strong proposal development and negotiation skills

  • SAP experience

  • Top Secret level security clearance
