The Payload and Ground Systems Division seeks talented Hardware Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead and Cost Account Manager (CAM) with engineering management experience to join our growing team in Rolling Meadows, IL.

Specific duties include managing Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) inputs, and tasking priorities for the hardware. Candidate will work closely with Program Manager (PM), Chief Engineer, Hardware design leads, and the customer. Active participation is required in cross-IPT efforts to help the program understand priorities for present and future activities. Work is performed in a dynamic team environment, defining processes and resolving complex problems. The candidate must have the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction and oversight, and mentor junior engineers.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides management and technical direction to hardware team.

  • Provide leadership and review of proposal efforts.

  • Schedule management including forecast monitoring, variance explanations, and cost/schedule.

  • Management of Risk and Opportunity processes

  • Oversight of activities, including tracking product deliveries and milestone

  • Review of generated design reviews, test reviews, engineering summaries, and related documentation

  • Coordination with IPT leads, program management, and third-party stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 12+ years of engineering experience (9+ with a MS, 7+ with a PhD)

  • Familiarity with Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value (EV) Techniques

  • Understanding of hardware design, principles, and processes

  • Experience with Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) requests and proposal activities

  • US Citizen and ability to obtain government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience on programs, leadership for an engineering team, management of one or more phases of a technical program, proposals, ECP's.

  • Experience with the hardware architecture, requirements baseline, verification approaches, and execution of delivery milestones

  • Effectively communicate and present to program managers, technical managers and customers

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SSBI clearance and/or active SCI access

Salary Range: $153,600 - $230,400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
