The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering team, where they will work on Infrared Countermeasures suite of products as a Process Engineer.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide direct production support to IRCM products including Laser Transmitters, Ultraviolet Sensors, Infrared Sensors and system Processors. Write production documentation and work instructions, equipment procedures, and develop materials. Troubleshoot production problems and apply engineering principles to solve mechanical and manufacturing problems. Develop and design production tooling to improve processes. Develop and introduce new processes and equipment to the production floor. Apply continuous improvement techniques to drive down costs and improve production efficiencies. Work with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering technology
Minimum of 2 years related experience
Must be organized and a team player
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Proficient in MS office
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and US Citizenship
Experience in manufacture environment
Experience in mechanical design using NX and/or CAD
Experience with data mining / correlation studies
Experience with SQL Server database
