Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced University Relations & Recruiting (UR&R) Representatives to join our Talent Acquisition (TA) team to help support the execution of our central region Engineering Sciences & Technology (ES&T) campus recruitment programs for the Mission Systems sector. The position will be located in Rolling Meadows, IL.

Responsibilities include sourcing and screening talent from focus Universities, attending targeted campus recruiting events, supporting campus and on-site interviews, sharing and promoting candidates to hiring manager and maintaining ongoing communication and moving key candidates through hiring process.

In this role you will:

  • Manage full life cycle recruitment for regional and site specific college and intern hiring requisitions.

  • Collaborate with Enterprise and Sector UR&R to participate in, and attend events at focus Universities.

  • Act as TA lead at campus and conference events to identify top candidates, support hiring managers and facilitate streamlined hiring decisions.

  • Proactively conduct targeted searches for top talent at our focus Universities.

  • Develop creative strategies to identify, attract and hire top candidates in a timely fashion and share best practices with team members.

  • Leverage on campus efforts to generate a diverse candidate pool for regional and site specific hiring events.

  • Maintain ongoing contact with top college and intern talent from focus universities and update candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure data integrity.

  • Partner with our Intern and Professional Development Program (PDP) team members to ensure streamlined and positive candidate experience.

  • Ensure a diverse pipeline of talent into entry level and intern roles including engagement with student organizations and attendance at diversity conferences.

  • Develop and analyze UR&R metrics.

  • Develop and implement process improvements that drive operating excellence.

  • Conduct candidate screens of top talent from our focus Universities

  • Drive the recruiting process to include: partnering with hiring managers to write compelling job descriptions, ensuring proper classification and level, source and screen candidates, conduct/coordinate interviews, make recommendations to hiring managers and work with partners and support staff to extend offers, driving negotiations as needed.

The successful candidates will have exposure to the college recruiting space and display the ability to consult with all levels of internal and external customers, including students and University partners, Hiring Managers and various levels of leadership.

*This position may be filled as either a Level 2 or a Level 3

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2 are:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 2 years of experience with an ATS.

  • Exposure to on campus engagement activities (career fairs, targeted events, student organization and faculty outreach).

  • Experience recruiting entry level and intern talent.

  • Demonstrated project management skills and/or event coordination experience (intern program, rotational programs, hiring events).

  • Proven success working individually or as part of a team requiring little supervision.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power point, Visio).

  • US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3 are:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 5+ years of experience with an ATS.

  • Exposure to on campus engagement activities (career fairs, targeted events, student organization and faculty outreach).

  • Experience recruiting entry level and intern talent.

  • Demonstrated project management skills and/or event coordination experience (intern program, rotational programs, hiring events).

  • Proven success working individually or as part of a team requiring little supervision.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power point, Visio).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business or related field of study.

  • Direct experience as a Campus/University Recruiter

  • Previous experience with Northrop Grumman Talent Acquisition processes, procedures and candidate management.

  • Experience with Taleo (ATS).

  • Exposure or familiarity with other candidate recruitment management tools like Avature.
