Northrop Grumman is in need of a Manager Engineering Sciences Support to work at its ABL facility located in Rocket Center, WV.

Job Summary

Manage Receiving Inspection Group

Ensure Receiving Inspection metrics are maintained within established thresholds (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Employee and Cost)

Monitor and position inspection staff to complete daily schedule successfully

Communicate daily with program IPT teams, Source Inspectors and suppliers to maintain the flow of acceptable material for program use

Excellent people skills, problem solving and working knowledge in a wide variety of inspection skills and techniques

Monitoring and maintaining program and overhead charging within established budgets.

Approval of time sheets for direct reports

Communicate with multiple function groups included DCMA and Union staff to successful conclusions

Complete yearly performance reviews for direct reports (staff)

Quality Systems Asst. Group / 1st Class Components Inspector Group

Proficient understanding using specifications, drawings, first article inspections, inspection plans, non-conforming reports, purchase orders, CMTR's, C of A's, test reports and quality assurance provisions to justify acceptance of product for program use

Manage Source inspection

Schedule required inspections between programs and Source Inspection Contractors

Create requisitions for new purchase orders and/or updates.

Enter invoices for payments of complete source inspection responsibilities

Resolve source inspection issues preventing acceptance of incoming receipts

This position falls under a Federal Explosives License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) for this location. Candidates hired into this role will be required to complete and submit an Employee Questionnaire for approval to be a possessor.

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

• AA Degree or 6 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of degree

• Experience in semiconductor fab environment

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, computer skills

• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS Degree in STEM

• Knowledge of semiconductor processing steps, process flows and associated environmental health and safety requirements

• Meticulous and focused, quick learner

• Excellent decision making and communication skills
