Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Ridgecrest, CA is currently seeking a Production Test Technician 3 to join our team supporting our ARRGM and SiAW programs. This position is on-site only . Relocation is not available for this role.
The primary responsibility in this role is the evaluation, set-up and testing of electrical mechanical devices. Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures. Test data will be generated to support customer requirements. The selected candidate will work in a manufacturing environment where specific, required, production goals will need to be adhered to, and ESD and FOD procedures followed; attention to detail is paramount.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected candidate will be part of a team that works closely together, so ethical and respectful team interaction and communication is of the utmost importance. Even though this position is in a team environment and set up for team success, the selected candidate will be required to work independently with little supervision. Occasional heavy lifting and occasional overtime may be required.
Basic Qualifications Test Technician 3:
High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in electronics testing or related field
Experience using hand and small power tools, as well as various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties
Ability to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications.
Ability to balance and lift fixtures up to at least 50 lbs.
Ability to read technical publications and drawings, familiarity with systems within a production environment.
Basic computer literacy: ability to interface with computers.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance; US citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications Test Technician 3 :
Basic understanding of environmental chambers operation.
Experience working in an aerospace industry.
Exposure to quality systems.
Experience working independently and in a team environment, and interfacing with individuals at multiple levels in the organization.
Active Secret US clearance
Experience with any of the following:
Test evaluation, set-up and performance
Preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment
Test data reporting and excel data entry
Equipment troubleshooting and repair, Test set up techniques for testing, Anechoic Chambers, Thermal Chamber, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Meters, Multimeters, Grounding, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzers.
Salary Range: $57,800 - $96,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
