Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is currently seeking an Organizational Effectiveness Consultant and Trainer to join the Organization Effectiveness (OE) team. This position will be based in Redondo Beach, CA, and reports to the Director of Organization Effectiveness. As a member of the OE team, the successful candidate will focus on collaborating with the Enterprise delivering on Sector priorities for manager and leader development needs. It is expected that the successful candidate will collaborate within and across HR and the organization to help with taking a data-driven approach to assessing training needs, an employee-centric approach to developing/adapting solutions and facilitating training sessions. You are agile, resourceful and never hesitate to pitch in to help the team when and wherever needed. You are an exceptional communicator (both verbally and in writing) who is able to effectively and confidently present recommendations and training deliver sessions that are effective and impactful.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • This consultant and trainer must be able to design and facilitate interventions and will also deliver training aligned to executing our human capital strategies

  • Assess critical business issues and provide input, advice, direction and execution to advance the organization's business strategy

  • Design and facilitate culture change initiatives, organization transformations, and large-scale organization interventions in partnership with business leaders and the HR team

  • Diagnose organizational needs and develop comprehensive solutions to increase team and organizational performance

  • Provide expertise and facilitate strategic planning, change management, leadership assimilation, management skills training sessions and other organization interventions

  • Maximize learner experience in Foundational Skills for Management, or other trainings, by connecting current business challenges and past management experiences to bring training to life

  • Support other talent management engagements as the OE function matures

  • Partner with HRBPs to effectively transform the environment to a best-place-to-work

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • One of the following:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, org development, business or related field of study and at least 10 years of experience in talent management, organizational effectiveness, organizational development or closely related function; OR

  • A master's degree in human resources, org development, business or related field of study and at least 8 years of experience in talent management, organizational effectiveness, organizational development or closely related function in transformation and change management

  • Understanding and appreciation for business, and ability to apply systems thinking to identify, develop and execute solutions to enhance business performance

  • Deep change management and project management background; process orientation to HR work

  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational assessments that result in development and implementation of strategies that improve organizational performance and business outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating workshops and senior leadership meetings

  • Experience as an internal or external consultant.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an HRBP or other CoE(s) strongly desired

  • Prior experience supporting a program start-up

  • Prior experience in consulting a plus

  • Professional certifications in coaching, facilitation and/or assessments

  • Broad based experience in change management, talent management and working on larger scale OD/OE projects
