Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for an Systems Test Engineer - 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
This position can be filled at a level 2 or 3.
Key Responsibilities:
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints
Creation/execution of test procedures
Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems
Coordinates integrated testing activities
Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program
Automated test script creation
Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications for a level 2:
Bachelors of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline plus 2 years of engineering experience OR a Masters of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline plus 0 years of engineering experience.
Must have Python scripting experience.
Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret/SCI level clearance.

Bachelors of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline plus 5 years of engineering experience OR a Masters of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline plus 3 years of engineering experience.

Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret/SCI level clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of spacecraft hardware, software
Experience with Integration or Test campaigns
Knowledge of penetration testing, network security, and the techniques used to expose and correct security flaws.
A broad understanding of security technologies including antivirus software, and system patches.
The ability to identify and spotlight vulnerabilities, correct problems, and prevent security breaches.
Responsibility and conscientiousness, including proper management of patches to defray business impact while keeping security protocols up-to-date.
The ability to think critically and innovatively about the security solutions that can keep data safe while still allowing a business to flourish.
Salary Range: $77,100 - $115,700
Salary Range 2: $95,000 - $142,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
