SSSD has an opening for a Systems Engineering Manager 3 - Strategy to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

The Systems Engineering Manager 3 - Strategy reports directly to the RISE BU Strategy Director. Key responsibilities will include the following:

-Project manager for customer funded systems engineering consortium. Oversee execution of FFP study, coordinate responses to ECPs, manage budget of the effort including management of IWOs with other sectors. Review study deliverables and coordinate key strategic objectives with relevant stakeholders.

-Support planning and coordination of RISE NCTA efforts. Coordinate overruns and regrets across the business unit portfolio and coordinate between executing projects and strategy director to make recommendations to adjudicate budget variances.

-Perform budget analysis across RISE BU mission areas to support forward forecast of addressable budget space and scenarios for how budgets will be allocated across missions. This effort will involve coordination across multiple divisions and with sector to bring together different inputs and perspectives to develop an informed perspective on the addressable market space.

-Collaborate across business development and captures to develop key advocacy slides across the mission area. Develop and maintain slides for high level engagements. Coordinate with captures and mission integration areas to ensure data driven analysis is being performed to substantiate advocacy messages and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience OR

-Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 7+ years of engineering experience OR

-PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 4+ years of engineering experience

-Demonstrated previous management and leadership experience

-CAM knowledge

-Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

-Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, an active Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

-Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

-Experience and background knowledge of the AMS and RISE BUs heritage technical areas and Captures

-Proven ability to lead and influence a high performance team

-Proposal experience

-Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners and employees

-Previous IPT or Program Management experience

-Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization and customers

Salary Range: $176,100 - $264,100

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
