Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer, Sr. Principal Early Orbital Operations.
This position will be responsible for leading early orbit operations for a satellite flight payload. The effort includes planning, coordination and provision of system engineering resources to support Mission Dress Rehearsal, Launch Base Confidence Test, and satellite launch operation events to include early orbit raising. This position is also responsible for planning and execution of the Satellite Payload Activation Exercise and On-Orbit Payload Activation events.
Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 9+ years of experience of Systems Engineering experience in an aerospace/defense environment OR
Master's degree from an ABET accredited university in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 7+ years of experience of Systems Engineering experience in an aerospace/defense environment OR
PhD from an ABET accredited university in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 4+ years of experience of Systems Engineering experience in an aerospace/defense environment
Candidate must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government DoD security clearance at the Secret level with a background investigation date within 10 years.
Experience and knowledge of satellite payload subsystems, turn-on, and initialization is required. Must have experience with on-orbit satellite operations, satellite payload turn-on, software uploads, and initialization.
