The Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division of Northrop Grumman's Space Systems sector seeks team members who want to solve interesting, complex problems which protect our nation. We are a trusted mission payload and ground system provider with extensive experience providing end-to-end mission solutions from concept through operations and support. The team you will support is located at our Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, CA.
What you'll get to do?
As the Ground Element Systems Engineering Subproject Management Deputy on this team, you will lead a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate multi-tier requirements for the ground segment of a satellite system. You will serve as the Cost Account Manager for the subproject under your purview. In this role, you will be interacting with the customer and leadership to define and maintain the technical baseline. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to drive the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission.
14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 12 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 9 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access or active SCI access
Cost Account Management experience
Previous management experience (functional or project)
Degree(s) in the following disciplines: electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, networks, or physics
End-to-end Systems Engineering experience (Systems Engineering "V")
Integration and Test experience
Agile development experience
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts
Familiarity with Software Systems Engineering
Familiarity with RF and digital signal processing
