Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Staff Computer Systems Analyst to be based out of Redondo Beach, CA. Successful candidate will be an experienced DOORS database manager responsible for training engineers to utilize DOORS effectively to manage requirements; determining the level of user access needed to perform their task; creating a tiered hierarchy schema; developing, providing content, and reviewing processes related to the DOORS schema, including DOORS training material and work instructions; mentoring junior engineers in database management tasks; developing and maintaining DXL scripts; importing and exporting data from DOORS; implementing approved changes; interfacing with IT for user account requests, break/fix issues, backups, schedule upgrades, etc. Responsible for program-level DOORS working group with objective ensuring consistency across DOORS database, including attributes, metrics, templates, etc.
Essential Functions:
Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 14+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience
Must have an active Dept. of Defense Top Secret level clearance with a background investigation date within 6 years OR
Requisition requires the candidate to have SCI access. Candidate must be able to maintain active U.S. Government SCI access with a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Engineering
Experience working on aircraft or spacecraft systems
Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements
Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineering
Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration
Experience using DOORS, Cameo
Strong people skills
Excellent communication skills (upward and downward)

Salary Range: $146,000 - $219,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
