The Mission Engineering and Operations Organization in SSSD is seeking an interface engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in the Space Park Center of Excellence to include Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo in Southern California.
The successful candidate will be responsible to support the interface requirements definition between the satellite payload, spacecraft bus, and ground. They will coordinate with multiple IPTs and a subcontractor to ensure all aspects of the interface between the payload and external partners are understood to ensure successful execution, while ensuring minimal schedule risk. All interface definition is expected to be maintained in the Cameo MBSE model for customer delivery.
This individual contributor should be able to work in a team environment, understanding the entire SV baseline to be able to define the interface requirements as required. Candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
SCI required. Program can sponsor crossover from TS.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
Active DoD Top Secret/SSBI and/or active SCI
SSBI investigation within the last 5 years
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with satellite systems
Experience with interface development
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering / Cameo
