The Space Program Campaign Demonstration Lead reports directly to the Space Program Capture Director providing direction and leadership to multiple leads and the broader Payload end-to-end test team (~17). The Campaign Demonstration Lead is responsible for building a high performing team, securing a test facility, managing the planning and integration of the end-to-end mission payload demonstration testbed, and the test execution through capture and program phases to include pre-proposal phase, Block 0 and Block 1. The Payload end-to-end testbed is envisioned to be available for subsequent Blocks as necessary. Must be able to make decisions with minimal support, act with speed given aggressive implementation schedule, successfully interface with subcontractors integrating lessons learned, and effectively communicate and present to the Director, BU leadership, and other technical managers and stakeholders, to ensure needs are met. This Space Program Campaign Demonstration Lead is expected to manage an annual budget of ~$3.5M with a headcount of ~17 heads when fully staffed. There is potential for growth on based on expected continued use of the test bed as needed.

Must be highly detail oriented, a skilled communicator, with excellent presentation abilities, able to independently assess complex architectural problems and decompose into an execution plan of action while coordinating across technical and support personnel. Successful applicants will be action-oriented, self-starters, and quick learners with troubleshooting skills. This person must exhibit an appreciation, a sensitivity, and respect for a diverse and inclusive environment.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 14+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience
Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, a TS/SCI security clearance
Experience leading medium to large interdisciplinary teams
Experience in rapid development or capture test demonstrations
Experience in integration of end-to-end payload testbeds
Experience in planning and executing major engineering efforts
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading end-to-end demonstrations for major program captures
Understanding of NCTA and capital investment request processes
Experience in rapid prototyping efforts
Salary Range: $178,700 - $268,100
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
