Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer based out of Redondo Beach, CA.

What You'll get to Do:

You will support the ground systems software area for a large restricted program, performing development and support of operational software in adherence to project processes, and meeting schedule, customer, and contractual obligations.

You should be highly motivated with a passion for problem solving and be able to understand, design, code, and debug algorithms, providing elegant and innovative solutions.

Position is contingent upon final SCI access.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 2 years related experience; Masters in STEM discipline

  • Software engineering experience

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: C++, Java, C, C#, .Net

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills

  • Current SCI access or at least a DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access by start date

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years related experience; Masters in STEM discipline with 3 years related experience

  • Software engineering experience

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: C++, Java, C, C#, .Net

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills

  • Current SCI access or at least a DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access by start date

P referred Qualifications:

  • Coding and design of algorithmic applications

  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), to generate engineering artifacts for handoff to software development

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
