Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Configuration Analyst Section Manager based out of Redondo Beach, CA.

What You'll get toDo:

The candidate selected will have a dual role: 20% of full time will be as a functional manager (section manager) supporting 20 NGMS employees who perform support across Mission Systems programs, and 80% of full time as a lead within the Resource Control Sub-Project. This group provides resource control/software configuration management expertise for two major restricted Northrop Grumman Mission Systems programs. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Sub-Project Manager with cost/schedule for the overall area and management of the SWCM group overseeing multiple baselines. The candidate will also be responsible for overseeing/leading efforts performed in the unclassified Annex environment. The candidate should be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Technical contributor or manager in a program role

  • Functional oversight for a team of software engineers, systems engineers,and/or software configuration analysts

  • Staffing and workload forecast; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoringand career development; employee training and identification and training ofskills required to execute on programs.

  • Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, performance management and contractmaintenance for contractors working in the business area as required.

The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. He/she will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years related experience

  • Knowledge of full-lifecycle software, documentation, and all aspects ofConfiguration Management including planning, identification, control, statusaccounting, reporting, and auditing in a process driven environment

  • Proven leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

  • Experience supporting program management in configuration control by developing,interpreting and implementing configuration management procedures in accordancewith company procedures and Government standards

  • Current SCI access or DoDTop Secret security Clearance required with the ability toobtain SCI access

PreferredQualifications:

  • Experience controlling and base-lining COTS products integrated into thesoftware environment.

  • Experience controlling and base-lining virtual environments.

  • Experience with Linux scripting

  • SCI Clearance Preferred
