Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Project Management 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

The selected candidate will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. The candidate will also review status of projects and budget, manage schedules and prepare status reports, assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The selected candidate will also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze Lockheed Martin (LMA) hardware requirements supporting F-35 Production Teammate Furnished Equipment, Spares and Support Equipment

  • Work with NGAS and LMA stakeholders to develop achievable plans for quantities & dates for hardware delivery, including financial impacts

  • Assist in the development and subsequent utilization of a Portal which manages the baseline of LMA requirements, capturing new requirements and any changes to existing requirements as well as the associated NGAS fulfillment of these requirements

  • Coordinate with LMA and NGAS stakeholders to address priorities at LMA and/or the government customer to ensure F-35 Production & Sustainment are supported

  • Support the F-35 Program Integration Team in developing & delivering associated performance metrics and dashboards

  • Assist with thetracking ofrisk mitigation plans and corrective action plans and assist in the preparation for Risk Working Group (RWG) and Risk Review Board (RRB)

  • Facilitate meetings and track action items to closure

  • Assist in the development of processes for managing program change and execution

  • Bring ideas forward to the team and complete projects as assigned to further Program objectives and goals

  • Support the Air Systems Integration Team's Integration Manager as tasked on projects

Successful candidates will have the following key attributes:

  • Proactive anticipates requirements on assigned projects and initiates and completes actions with a high sense of urgency to meet those requirements.

  • Perceptive sees how general industry practices can be applied to solve problems and complete assignments.

  • Composed maintains a level head in the extremely dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment on the F-35 Program, especially when working on projects with highly compressed timelines and tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work with high volumes of data and extract necessary information to update stakeholders on the status of key deliverables

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Someexperience in Project Management, Integration, Program Operations, GlobalSupply Chain (GSC), or Logistics

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of project management principles and practices

  • Previous work experience with F-35 tools and processes
