We are looking for a Principal Training Representative to join the AS Human Resources Organization Effectiveness (OE) team. If you are passionate about making a difference by contributing to helping people increase their effectiveness in their current (and future roles), we want to talk to you!

As a member of the OE team, the successful candidate will focus on collaborating with the Enterprise delivering on Sector priorities for manager and leader development needs. It is expected that the successful candidate will collaborate within and across HR and the organization to help with taking a data-driven approach to assessing training needs, an employee-centric approach to developing/adapting solutions and facilitating training sessions. You are agile, resourceful and never hesitate to pitch in to help the team when and wherever needed. You are an exceptional communicator (both verbally and in writing) who is able to effectively and confidently present recommendations and training deliver sessions that are effective and impactful.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Partnering with the enterprise talent management & development team on enterprise wide manager and leadership development offerings, including communicating sector requirements, providing input to communication/change management plans, etc.

  • Assess and Analyze: Assess needs not covered by enterprise offerings within the sector. Collect, analyze and evaluate business needs, data and relevant metrics to determine the impact of development initiatives and bring strong systems thinking to make appropriate recommendations

  • Provide support for existing leadership development programs such as Leadership in Action, Building Brilliant Leaders and other sector specific programs/initiatives.

  • Implement Development programs: Collaborate with subject matter experts and when appropriate, provide design input by applying instructional design methodology and adult learning theory to sector specific programs and reinforcement mechanisms. Work to implement programmatic learning and development activities leveraging all learning methods and programs (i.e. instructor-led classroom, virtual, self-paced eLearning, etc).

  • Support implementation of development activities that align with enterprise and/or business initiatives. Deliver training content (where needed). Coordinate before, during and after development activities (as touch point or secure and prep team members, leaders).

  • Project Management: Leverage solid project management skills to implement development activities. Track project schedules and manage multiple projects simultaneously; progress, escalate, risk mitigation strategies and report out to key stakeholders.

  • Change Management & Communication: Provide input and execute a change management plan (including behavior change fundamentals such as mindset shift, dealing with resistance, cultural shift). Collaborate with development team to design communication solutions to promote development. Build awareness to increase utilization of Northrop Grumman development resources by leaders.

  • Stay abreast of training and development research, theories, methodologies and techniques. Has the ability to apply concepts and theories to develop practical solutions that can be implemented with positive business outcomes.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, Learning & Development or related discipline 5-+ years of relevant experience in learning and development, leadership development, organization development or HR field in a large, complex professional environment . Or 3+ years of experience with a Master's Degree.

  • Superior relationship building and collaborative, interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple priorities/clients essential

  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning and agility to adapt to shifting priorities, navigating ambiguous situations

  • Strong organization and project management skills

  • Demonstrated facilitation and platform skills in both virtual and face-to-face delivery methods

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field

  • Professional certifications in coaching, facilitation and/or assessments.

  • Broad based experience as an HR Business Partner, change management, talent management and working on larger scale OD/OE projects
