Northrop Grumman SSSD has an opening for a Principal Technical Services Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

The Technical Services Engineer provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of company technical products, programs and systems. Provides expertise for resolving technical problems, troubleshoots product and modifies product to customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • High level technical support for end users and internal development teams

  • Perform front end trouble shooting and back end analysis of PLM related issues and assist with corrective action to restore functionality

  • Participate in Program and Engineering process improvement projects

  • Develop support and technical documentation

  • Support PLM system integrations

  • Work with IT resources to support application infrastructure for classified systems

  • Work with PLM infrastructure team to propose and implement application infrastructure changes for classified systems

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline, Management Information Systems, or Computer Information Systems disciplines with 5+ years of relevant Networking/Administrator experience OR equivalent experience in a Networking/Systems Administrator/IT Support role or similar (Military included) with completed Microsoft Certifications (e.g., MSSA Program) and enrolled in a technical degree program; in lieu of a degree

  • Strong trouble shooting/analysis skills and aptitude to quickly learn new software

  • Excellent communication skills (upward, downward, peer-to-peer)

  • Understanding of web based application infrastructure

  • Active SCI Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting enterprise applications

  • Experience working in the Aerospace industry with a strong understanding of Engineering, Supply Chain, Configuration Management, and IT processes and tools

  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management systems

  • Proficiency working with Red Hat Linux servers

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
