As a Systems Engineer, you will be developing systems for a variety of spacecraft using current technologies and others yet to come... What you'll get to do?
The RF Antenna Systems Engineer implements and reviews design, integration and validation of a Radio Frequency (RF) ground terminal large aperture antenna system including electronics; You will analyze, model, design, and simulate the communication systems, subsystems, and algorithms for communication networks, data links, digital radio, and command and control systems (wide and local area networks, point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital radio/communications technology and network architecture design). You will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions. In addition, you will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Knowledge in the following areas would be beneficial:
RF implementation losses from antenna to digital signal processors of COTS and internal products
Large aperture full motion antenna systems
Commercial off the shelf tailoring experience
Software defined radios
familiarity with RF test equipment
Factory acceptance test experience
Integration with terminal electronics at Intermediate Frequency (IF)
Experience installing at Worldwide locations
