Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division, is hiring a Principal Engineer Mechanical in Redondo Beach, CA with responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
Support and lead production, test and integration efforts of various programs at Space Park
Support and lead development of manufacturing plans to execute program requirements
Support and lead development of non-flight hardware
Support and lead development of flight hardware test and integration plans.
Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline plus 5 years of engineering experience; OR Master of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline plus 3 years of engineering experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point or Project
Candidate must have at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government Security Clearances:
Department of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years.
OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years
OR Department of Energy Q Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years
Use and application of technical principles, theories and concepts of mechanical engineering
Develops recommended solutions to technical problems in mechanical engineering disciplines
Active in-scope Top Secret Security Clearance and SCI access
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in defense, aerospace or high-reliability product development industries
Experience in integration and test, operations and real-time troubleshooting
Experience in launch operations, propulsion and pneumatic systems
Experience in test procedure development
Able to work in dynamic work schedule (2nd shift, weekend) and travel up to 25%
Experience with NX10, CATIA V, PTC Creo
Experience with Solumina MES
Experience with CAPE
Experience with MS Project
