Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services (ES) is seeking candidates for a Sr. Accountant role in Redondo Beach, CA. The selected individual will play a key role in supporting the Manager of Restricted Accounting, applying principles of accounting to compile and analyze financial information in the review of general ledger account analyses, preparation/review of journal vouchers, review of contract billings and supplier disbursements, and subcontract/contract closeouts. Month end financial reporting and forecasting, DCAA billing and incurred costs support as well as corporate data calls. Support banking and treasury requirements and ensuring strong customer support. Candidate must be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and should have strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation, review, and submissions of contract billings

  • Month end financial analysis and forecasting

  • Miscellaneous AR reporting and resolution of billing/payment issues

  • Cash collection and forecasting support

  • Month end reporting and account analysis

  • Accounts Payable processing

  • Cash Disbursements and bank reconciliations

  • Contract/subcontract closeouts

  • DCAA incurred cost and billing audit support

  • Internal/External customer support

  • Special projects as needed

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 4 years of related experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of related experience; OR an Associate's degree with 8 years of related experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience

  • Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines

  • Familiarity with GAAP, FAR, CAS

  • Requires active Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accounting experience in government contracting

  • Active SCI clearance preferred
