Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Pricing and Cost Estimating Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Redondo Beach, CA. This candidate will be on our F-35 team in Redondo Beach CA. The Senior Manager will report into the Pricing Cost Estimating Director in the Military Aircraft Systems Division.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the growing staff of Proposal Analysts and P&E Managers in the preparation and analysis of Pricing Actions/Proposals for the F-35 LRIP, PNR, Annualized/non-annualized, SDD/LRIP Concurrent Changes, Sustainment Proposals and the Annual Configuration Status Update proposal.

  • In addition, manage the growing Repair or Repairables/Spares workload that is critical to the War Fighter. Oversee the work of Level 2 Mgrs.

  • Manages the labor estimates and material costs for manufacturing and engineering function, based on request for proposal (RFP).

  • Analyzes specifications, bills of material, and calculates costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data.

  • Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Reviews cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data.

  • Creates cost models for cost estimating elements.

  • Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, customer representatives, DoD auditors, vendors, and subcontractors.

  • Support NAR/ICE Reviews on major proposals.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with 10+ years of a combination Business, Finance, and Pricing/Estimating experience OR

  • Master's Degree from an accredited university with 5+ years of a combination in Business, Finance, and Pricing/Estimating experience.

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience with the knowledge of industry practices, techniques and standards

  • 2+ years of working knowledge of U.S. Government procurement regulations (FAR)

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in business, finance or relevant field

  • Accustomed to working in fast pace environments demanding strong organizational, technical and interpersonal skills

  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently

  • Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic program and business area leadership team

  • Strong customer orientation and relationship building abilities

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively drive projects to completion

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple activities concurrently, able to quickly adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid changes

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing and presenting to all levels of management

  • Team player, independent, proactive, and possess excellent problem solving, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
