We are looking for a Machine Shop Manager with excellent organization and interpersonal skills. Do you have a knack for electroplating techniques, handling hazardous chemicals, and leading a diverse team to achieve results? In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the Mechanical Fabrication Center's plating shop. This will include direct supervision of the staff, delegating work assignments, overseeing day to day production, handling operating costs and taking responsibility for customer's budget/schedule.
Ensuring compliance of: specification and process control requirements, training/certification, maintenance and calibration, chemical inventory procurement/storage, and safety and environmental regulations
Have a validated knowledge of electroplating techniques, hazardous chemical handling/storage and be familiar with military/industrial process standards related to electroplating
The ability to read and interpret engineering blue prints and associated drawing notes
Developing and leading the skills improvement of their reporting staff through training and development initiatives.
Attend status meetings with customers to ensure open communication and problem resolution.
Work with ME, M&P and Chemistry departments to support manufacturing process improvements and ensure successful delivery of hardware
Positive engagement will be required with all organizations that support manufacturing in order to sustain business operations
Coordinate and run single operation process offload to outside suppliers

Associates degree or equivalent with a minimum of4 years machine shop manufacturing work experience.
Thorough knowledge of manufacturing, processing and assembly procedures required to produce development and flight hardware.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance and Program special access.
Solumina (Shop Floor Planning/Scheduling system) experience, a plus.
Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Top Secret clearance with an investigation completed in the last 5 years
