Northrop Grumman is looking for an experienced individual to lead a multi-discipline team developing a the Payload Data Processor (PDP) for the Next Generation Geosynchronous (NGG) program. The candidate will possess project management and technical leadership skills to oversee all aspects of hardware definition and production. The candidate will be the primary interface with the customer and ensures the program meets all requirements. The candidate will also work with cross-functional, cross-program team to execute the programs. Lastly, the candidate will work with strategic suppliers and with other another NG sector for manufacturing of the electrical ground support equipment.
Other tasks are to Identify program problems and work towards a positive resolution. The candidate must also proactively manage program risks and opportunities as well as customer expectations. Lastly, the candidate must effectively communicates with customers.
This role includes Cost Account Management responsibility of a $50M package that will report progress and cost and schedule metrics. The candidate will also lead proposal efforts for insertion of PDP unit into other opportunities.

Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution and a minimum of 7 years of experience in hardware design/development or production
Previous leadership experience and the ability to manage engineers and technicians in a process driven environment
Experience in program execution and demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones
10 years of experience developing Electronics for military or spacecraft applications
Digital or Mixed signal unit, slice, board, and/or ASIC/FPGA design and development experience
Experience with protected SATCOM programs (Milstar, AEHF, EPS, or similar program)
Experience with subcontract management
Experience with Northrop electronic production environment
Hands-on knowledge of programmatic/CAM processes, project planning and scheduling, cost control, change control, EVMS, staffing, coordination and oversight of technical work effort
Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) across all levels of the organization
Active DOD Top Secret or SCI clearance or in-scobe SSBI with investigation date within the last 7 years
