Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for a Sagittarius Hardware Acquisition Manager (HAM) to join our team of qualified, diverse talent. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
Essential Functions :
The Sagittarius HAM leads the Space Vehicle (SV) organization responsible for Parts, Materials, and Processes (PM&P); Radiation effects; and parts procurement. The Sagittarius HAM is responsible for the selection of parts, part procurement, PM&P qualifications, and part and material testing (including destructive physical analysis (DPA) and radiation lot acceptance testing (RLAT)). The applicant will have a strong background in EEE parts, materials, assembly processes, radiation effects, and part procurement. In addition to their technical qualifications, the HAM must possess excellent communication skills, as they will be a key interface with multiple subcontractors as well as with program and customer management. The ideal candidate will also have extensive experience with budget management. Familiarity with the integration and test of spacecraft is also desired.
Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution plus 7 years of engineering experience or Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) plus 5 years of engineering experience
Proven leadership or supervisory role
Experience in parts, materials and process selection, manufacturing support, failure analysis, and processing of materials and processing for space hardware
Active, in-scope DoD Top Secret Security clearance
Masters' Degree or PhD in STEM
In-depth knowledge of part procurement and Global Supply Chain
Practical working experience supporting integration and test (I&T) activities
Experience in radiation survivability and radiation testing, including RLAT
Active, in-scope SCI clearance
