Northrop Grumman is looking for a Supply Chain Manager 1 to support the Mechanical and Electrical/Assembly and Test departments within Good Movement in Global Supply Chain. This position will be located in our Space Park Facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the direct supervision/management of staff
Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines and general policies
Advises Leadership of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Integration, Warehousing, Traffic, Procurement, etc..
Responsible for meeting program and indirect budget targets, writing/updating work instructions, providing performance metrics and make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders
AA Degree plus 2 years of Global supply chain experience OR equivalency of 6 years of Global supply chain experience in Lieu of a degree
Working knowledge of SAP
Proficiency with Microsoft office (word, excel, power point)
Ability to present for functional homeroom and program reviews
Intermediate excel skills - creating graphs and pivot tables
Strong Aerospace supply chain background
Active SCI and a DoD clearance
BS in Supply Chain Management
