The Mission Engineering and Operations Organization in SSSD is seeking a Site Integration, Test, and Deployment Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in the Space Park Center of Excellence to include Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo in Southern California.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for Test Planning, and will support development of the Program System Integration & Test Plan (SI&TP). The position will involve factory and long-term overseas assignments. This position has additional compensation benefits while on international assignments. Responsibility may include develop/collect development and operational ground element test plans and incorporate them into the System Integration & Test Plan, including Engineering Design Test, Multi-Segment Test, and Operational Test, and will support development of the System Integration & Test Plan. Candidate is required to have experience with System Test activities such as: External Interface, System End-to-End, or Early Operations Testing and with System Test and Evaluation best practices, pre-CDR test planning, and familiarity with space systems ground segments. They also require good interpersonal skills to enable collaboration with the different IPTs.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
Active DoD Top Secret/SSBI and/or active SCI
SSBI investigation within the last 5 years
Minimum of two years of experience in test procedure development, test planning, and/or integration and test
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, often for extended periods (up to three months' duration)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM-related field
Working knowledge of test instruments including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.
Experience in troubleshooting of complex systems
Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
Experience in working as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Ability to multi-tasking
Self Starter and take initiative
Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $127,400.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
