Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking an Engineer Systems 4 to work in Redondo Beach, California.
This Engineer Systems 4 will be responsible for the analyses that are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. The ideal candidate ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. This individual performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution and9 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment OR
Masters of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution and7 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment
Sound understanding of EM Theory and Radar Cross Section (RCS)reduction
Understanding of materials science to enhance the design of paints, coatings and sealants to improve durability, to achieve specific material properties and characteristics.
Perform testing and documentation to verify and certify material behavior.
Able to prepare and analyze data and figures.
Ability to apply and/or develop technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
Able to work in both external and internal environmental conditions. Ability to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel).
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Have a sound understanding of EM Theory and Radar Cross Section (RCS)reduction
Active In-Scope DoD Secret Security Clearance
Masters' Degree in Chemical or Material Science Engineering
