Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Semiconductor Materials Department is seeking a microelectronics engineer to support semiconductor materials development. The engineer will support engineering activities related to growth of single-crystal semiconductor structures using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade of MBE systems, and characterization of semiconductor materials.

Additional responsibilities include:

Run, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrademolecular beam epitaxy equipment for semiconductor material growth. This engineer will direct and train technicians to run ultra high vacuum equipment and coordinate with other engineers across microelectronics to meet microelectronicsmaterial needs for various programs. This involves significant hands on lab work and independent problem solving in a semiconductor cleanroom facility.

Basic Qualifications:

STEM Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience; or 0+years of experiencewith a STEM Master's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ultrahigh vacuum equipment.

Experience troubleshooting semiconductor equipment.

Basic understanding of semiconductor principles.

Experience with the operation and maintenance of Molecular Beam Epitaxy systems.
